On new wings

Life opens here
under a renewing sky ,
on new wings ,
with a fresh purpose
as each fluttering leaf
whispers
to a new shade of blue
in the sky ,
the birds flying with
open wings ,
as though
they are putting
a new song
on our lips .
These gentle nods
from bowing branches ,
speak a truth ,
bring alive
a forgotten silence .
