Optical illusion

Over a period of time ,
the rough edges of stones we walk on
become smoother
than the charming view
of unknown distant hills .
Distant hills
can only be for
long distance view ;
their smoothness is
an optical illusion
and a half truth .

Some optical illusions
are delightful though
as long as we know they
are illusions .
Music too is
an illusion of
sense of hearing ;
a strange thought !
